    If you have bought any of the Weekly Cinema movie ticket deals from any of the daily deal sites, or was a part of the monthly program, I have some sad news.

    According to the Weekly Cinema website:

    The future of Weekly Cinema is under review. While this review is being performed, we are not able to process or redeem movie ticket coupons. We are working with our deal site partners to achieve a refund for the unused movie tickets and promo codes in your Weekly Cinema account in an amount of up to the price paid for each of the unused movie ticket coupons.

    A Hotline phone number to provide additional information about Weekly Cinema is being set up. Please provide your Weekly Cinema email in the box below if you would like us to email you when an update is available.

    Otherwise, check the site later today for further updates”

    I am very disappointed as we have a couple of Groupons that we hadn’t redeemed yet. We were waiting to take the guys to the mew Harry Potter movie in a few weeks. I can’t understand why they wouldn’t just honor the ones already out there and stop all future sales?!

    1. I sent an email this morning to LivingSocial and received a reply back –

      A solution for your issue has been suggested. We apologize for your experience attempting to redeem your vouchers with Weekly Cinema. Unfortunately, following talks with the merchant, it does not appear that they will be able to fulfill their redemption commitments to our customers. At this time we will be issuing a refund for your purchase. Depending upon your banking institution, the refunded amount will reflect on your account within 3-5 business. Again, we do apologize for this experience.
