Make the most of your next movie night with these Redbox tips and tricks! I use Redbox all the time and these tips have saved me $$$! If your kids love video games, Redbox is great, too! Check them out and feel free to add your own in the comments!

    1) Sign Up for Redbox Emails To Get A Free Rental
Score a free rental when you sign-up for Redbox Emails! After you confirm your email, you’ll get a promo code valid for a Free DVD Rental or $1.50 off a Blu-ray or video game rental! You’ll have two weeks to use the code, so make sure you use it before then.

    2) Wait Until 12:01AM to Rent
A friend shared this with me and I am so glad! If you stay up until after midnight, like 12:01AM, you’ll have until 9PM the NEXT day to turn in your rental! That’s like getting it for two full days!

    3) Get A Free Rental From The Redbox App
Another way to get a free movie rental is to download the Redbox Mobile App! Just turn on push notifications and you’ll have access to exclusive alerts, a free rental, and more! To get your rental, simply download the Redbox mobile app, turn ON for Redbox notifications under settings, and check the app for your freebie!

    4) Join the Redbox Text Club For A Possible Free Rental Deals
Sign-up for the Redbox Text Club to get surprise deals and promo codes sent straight to your phone! Just text SIGNUP, PUSH, MOVIE, MOVIENIGHT, MOVIETIME, FREEBIE or DEAL to 727272 and you could get a FREE 1-night DVD rental or $1.50 off a Blu-ray or game rental! You will be able to use the promo code at the kiosk, on Redbox.com or via the Redbox mobile app.

    5) Follow Redbox on Social Media for Promotions
Make sure you like and Follow Redbox on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram  for your chance to win free rentals and more in their weekly getaways! They sometimes post free codes and other fun prizes!

    6) Use Promo Codes Once Per Credit/Debit Card
Sometimes you can get previous codes to work with new emails or new credit cards! Try these below and let us know if they work!

BREAKROOM – free DVD rental at select locations
DVDONME – free DVD rental at select locations
DVDNIGHT – free DVD rental at select locations
MOVIENIGHT – rent one get one free movie or game
MPW32BK29DB7 – $1 Off Rental (at Kiosk or in Mobile App)

    7) Location-Specific Promo Codes
If you’re like me, you’ve searched online for free rental codes before. Did you know that some codes are location-specific? Try these below and let us know if they work for you! Note that if you’ve used these before they may not work.

DVDATWAG – valid only at select Walgreen’s locations
REDBOXHEB – valid only at select HEB locations
DVDATWEG – valid only at select Wegman’s locations
DVDKROG – valid only at select Kroger locations
DRIVEIN – valid only at select Sonic locations
DVDATMAC – valid only at select McDonald’s locations

    8) Join Redbox Play Pass for Perks
If you are a frequent Redbox patron, you’ll want to sign-up for Redbox Play Pass! Their Free Rewards Program gives you a free rental for every 10, a free rental on your birthday, and more! Definitely worth it if you rent as much as I do!

    9) Let Redbox Babysit on Road Trips
A friend told me they did this. If you are taking a road trip, movies are a great way to keep the kids entertained and happy. You could rent a movie in one state and drop it off and pick up another in a different state. Makes sense if you don’t want to lug a crate of DVDs with you!

    10) Pay for Someone Else’s Snacks
The next time you’re returning your movie to the Redbox kiosk, think about leaving a few dollars inside the case for the next person to buy movie snacks or other rentals. Just don’t cover up the barcode on the DVD as that will keep the movie from being rented.

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
