For those of you that couldn’t get the coupons because you are already registered there is a printable rebate form for Total Balance (worth $12.99) that is good 1/1/2012-12/31/2012.

The rebate is offered through the Hill’s Science Diet website. Just scroll around. I believe it was on the lower left of the home page.

I went into my local Pet Smart to buy this deal and was told by the manager that they are no longer able to accept coupons that have a “Coupons.com” logo on the side because this denotes a third party and this type of coupon has been found to be more easily altered for fraudulent purposes. I told him that I signed up on the Science Diet website directly and printed the coupons from there, but he told me that since they didn’t send the coupons to me directly, they can’t accept the coupons. Has anyone else heard of something like this? This is taking a stance of anti-couponing a little far!

I just had the same experience. The Asst. Mgr made me feel like a criminal. I also had the Royal Canin $4.00 Q. He said that I can’t give two because it says – Limit one coupon per purchase on product(s)indicated. I pointed out that I had two coupons and two products. He doesn’t understand the difference between one per transaction and one per purchase. He acted like a big sport by saying that he would let the cashier take just ONE coupon. So I did the $8.00 Science diet one!! I have since written to PetSmart and am waiting for a response. I asked for a written coupon policy that I could take with me.

I collected 10 coupons today, from friends and family, along with a coupon that they sent me via email for a free Greenies Chew. In addition, I used the coupons from a circular, in which you get three free can of dog food when you purchase dry dog food (had two of those). In total, it was around $90.00 before coupons, and the only problem I had was that the last coupon beeped because it would have been a negative in their register. The cashier called a manager, and she said it could not cover the tax, so she handed me back the last coupon. In all, total was around $90.00, and I paid $6.37 in tax for 10 bags of dog food, 1 bag of cat food, 12 cans of dog and cat food, and a chew bone. I do not even have a pet, so I am donating all of the food to the local shelter.

I had the same reaction at my petsmart-they said that they spoke to science diet and they said that they never issued the coupons and they were fraudulent. So I left with nothing..oh well.

I too went to Petsmart and was told they could not take the $8.00 coupon, but they could take the $4.00 coupon (buy 4 cans get 2 free). I told them it was from Hillscience after I signed up with them and they were both printed on the SAME sheet of paper, but they said nope corporate told them they could not take the $8.00 one. Oh Well, guess this is another company i’m going to be calling.
