This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Dollar General. All opinions are 100% mine.

Dollar General sent us (2) $25 gift cards (one to use and one to giveaway) so we could show you all the great items that they have for stocking stuffers!

I went this morning to our local Dollar General excited to make some great stockings! I did struggle though with  who these stockings would be given to. I thought about doing them for Mike and myself since we never fill our stockings with much more than a last minute candy bar. But, I decided against that. Instead, I am offering up the two filled stockings as prizes along with the $25 Gift card that Dollar General sent – making for three prizes!

But first, let me tell you about my shopping trip. I had so much fun! I love buying stocking stuffers. The selection of items was a little overwhelming though and it did take me a little longer to decide than I thought!

They had adorable Disney Princess ornaments with candy inside, candy cane wreaths, bags of all sorts of candy and so much more!

Each year, I try to balance out the candy and the toys that are put in our guys stockings.

The two filled stockings will each contain a singing plush penguin (so cute!), Hubba Bubba Santa BubbleTape Gum, solid milk chocolate Santa Million Dollar Bar, 4 pack of PlayDoh, jar of Bubbles, Tootsie Roll filled bank, giant Christmas pencil with sharpener and a giant Candy Cane filled with Sixlets!

I even bought these cute stockings for only $1 ea. (I bought them separate and were not part of the $25)

As you can see, Dollar General is the place to go for stocking stuffers!

I used to put things in stockings, but last year I put all my freebies in a big basket and it went round and round the family until it was gone, that way since we are all adults for now, everyone gets to pick what they want. I’d get more stuff for the “basket”.

I would buy some gifts for my nephew that his mother and father can not buy. They are having it rough this year. I know I could get him alot with the gift card or he would love one of the stockings. Thank you

Every year for the holidays, I make gift baskets filled with cute little items and donate them to local homeless or women’s shelters so If I won this gift card I would use it to purchase some extra items for it =]

Wow this post just made me love Dollar General even more because of those ADORABLE penguins in your photo! My mom, my sisters, and I have been collecting penguins for as long as I can remember so those would make a great addition to our collection!

If I won I’d buy a few of those penguins and some candy to serve at our holiday party!

I’d buy stocking stuffers and some wrapping paper – I just saw the cutest Christmas Story leg lamp paper there this week!

I have been using all of our spare change to help a neighbor boy and his mom. (Since we have four kids, money is tight here, too.) His mom is unemployed and in poor health. When my kids went to play there earlier this year, they discovered that the only food they had (literally) was a loaf of bread and water from the faucet to drink! So they could really use the gifts. Thank you!

My husband’s only worked 3 weeks since August. He’s had 4 surgeries since June. I would buy groceries & necessities. I’d probably buy a small gift for my son also!

Household, toiletries, etc., to help with expenses. Looks like our budget is going to jump up as my daughter probably has Celiac Disease.
